Meet your Oxford University student guides
We are Felix and Leonor, the cofounders of Immersive Oxford Experience. As a team of two current students at the University of Oxford, we offer exclusive and personalised walking tours and experiences in Oxford.
We are both experienced Oxford tour guides with over 900+ tours.
We founded this company because while working as tour guides, we realised that there was a demand for premium walking tours with a small number of people.
Hi I’m Leonor.
I am an English literature DPhil (the ‘Oxford PhD’) student at the University of Oxford. I am half French and half English from Mauritius Island. As part of my masters I studied at Saint Hilda’s College Oxford and at The Sorbonne in Paris. Now I am researching 19th century literature and visual arts, in the scope of my DPhil at Saint Edmunds Hall.
On my immersive tours of Oxford I like to focus on the architecture of the buildings, as well as university and student anecdotes.
If you’re interested in the literary perspective of Oxford, I would love to share my knowledge with you. I have a passion for the city’s rich literary history, from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia, J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series (and every word ever written by Thomas Hardy).
As a humanities student I am able to help you with any questions you might have if you are thinking of applying to a humanities degree at the University of Oxford.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Oxford!
Hi I’m Felix.
I am a DPhil student in the department of materials science at the University of Oxford. Originally, I am from Germany but during a 3 month language exchange, I fell in love with the UK and never left. I completed my Bachelors and Masters at Imperial College London. Now I am exploring the frontiers of a novel method in the field of electron microscopy enabling us to see atoms in astonishing detail.
Just like Leonor, I also love structuring my immersive tours around a combination of historical facts and student life experiences at Oxford’s most famous sights (and also the slightly more secretive ones). As a massive Harry Potter fan myself you will find me pointing out the inspirations and filming locations of the saga.
For those out there interested in a more in-depth historical perspective of the city I have also got you covered. On our immersive Oxford History visits we explore the most important building of each century on a journey through time.
As a STEM student, I can help answer any questions you may have if you’re thinking of applying to a science or engineering degree at the University of Oxford. With my experience at Oxford, I will provide insights and guidance to help you make the most informed decision about your academic future.
Oxford awaits! See you soon.
